Andrew Calamari to the management position of Director of 911 Operations

It is my pleasure to formally announce the promotion of Andrew Calamari to the management position of Director of 911 Operations, effective Monday, June 29, 2026.

This critical senior leadership position is responsible for oversight of all operations and the supervision of all personnel within the 911 Communications Center.

Andrew has over 25 years of experience in 911 operations, emergency communications, organizational leadership, labor relations, and quality assurance. Since 2023, he has served as 911 Operations Supervisor, where he assisted former Director of 911 Tim Darcy with managing several programs and initiatives within the 911 Center. Andrew’s expertise has been pivotal in the development of procedures and best practices for our countywide supplemental EMS initiative.

Previously, Andrew served our Department as a Senior Public Safety Dispatcher beginning in 2005, after joining our Department in 1999 as a Public Safety Dispatcher.
